The Depth Wave X stereo amplifier is a culmination of technologies, chosen high quality/ precision components and Gold plated PCB layouts with isolated power / audio ground planes to maximize performance and lower distorttion
The Depth Wave X Amplifier has the following attributes:

  • 122w@4Ω 1kHz (clipping@125watts) Instantaneous peak output power is more than 260W

  • SNR 115dB (Measured on bench with no casing)
  • Noise floor (input shorted) sits around -125dB (Bench tested no casing)

  • Output devices rated at 22 amps per channel (Amperage demands per channel: 65w@8Ω = 2.8amps and 125w@4Ω = 5.6amps approximately which is well below the rated output of the devices)
  • A very powerful, regulated, 1200W power supply (16 amps per rail (with 25 amps peak) for a total of 32 amps of available power
  • DC output protected in case of a catastrophic amplifier failure (speaker protection)
  • Short circuit protection (will protect shorts at speaker terminals, but there is a limit)
  • Safe operating area protection of output devices
  • Convection cooling inside and out
  • Over heating protection. The amplifier will shut down if overheated and will resume once the temperature has dropped to a lower level. Verify your speaker impedance. The lower the impedance, the more heat this amplifier will dissipate. Running 2 ohm loads is not recommended but has been tested and outputs 162WRMS@2ohms. Contact us if this is your intention.

  • Recommended amplification 15 watts to what ever makes you happy. These speakers have a limit like all speakers do. Stay alert of driver distress or distortion and back the volume down. In most rooms they will play much louder than most want to listen to. They are capable of producing sound pressure levels above 100dB. Be careful to protect your hearing. The recommendations from the WHO for listening levels are around 85 - 87dB and this at your listening position.
